It is a shame when so much misinformation is spread so fast across the internet...misinformation that some take as fact and then make decisions based on those supposed facts. Well...I feel I must give a response to the latest MSNBC.com travel article where a very respected travel writer gave some misinformation as a part of his reasoning why there are times when you really don't need to use a travel agent.

Thanks for helping our industry. Guess we do need to speak out. I see signs around my town that say "Pick a church, any church". Maybe we need something like "Pick a travel agent, any travel agent". There will always be bad in or world, but we can minimize it a bit.
